Great holmertz 2020-08-03 3:46

Hello Paul,
I was preparing a trip to Pokhara in 1972, but then I received a message that I had been granted a permit to go to Sikkim, so I changed my plans. I wonder what Pokhara would have looked like then. I doubt there would have been so many colourful boats waiting for tourists. Today's three photos are all very bright, and especially the main one has e very beautiful composition with the distant mountains. The many boats indicate a high level of tourism, but I certainly prefer crowds of boats to crowds of tourists.
Best regards,
Gert

Default To holmertz: Boats and tourists

Thank you Gert,

There was a crowd of tourists in Pokhara and the city and its surroundings felt very commercial.
But I had the impression that there were always a lot of empty boats moored.
Also most of the larger boats (not really large of course) were always full of Nepalese tourists. Or perhaps some of them were Indian ...

Best regards,
Paul
