Hello Claude,
This photo shows their great expectations very clearly. Their bodies and postures express a strong sense of excitement. Remembering an earlier photo of people leaving the beach, some easy clone stamping would have been possible on this one too, to show the beach as completely undisturbed (even if it wasn't).
In a way WS #1 is conventionally more attractive, but less exciting.
