Another thing I haven't got! First snow, now a greenfinch... ;-) We had some goldfinches the other day, so it's a bit of a consolation.
Jokes aside, I really like this photo with the main subject placed off-centre and against lovely out of focus background.

To emka: Dry rice fields
Thank you Malgo,
These were dry rice fields. Almost all the rice fields I saw in Laos in December and January looked that way. The number of green rice fields I saw in that time was very limited. Did you see (many) green rice fields or fields with water when you were there in January 2003? Best regards, Paul
