Hello Beverley,
Your main photo is absolutely a fantastic portrait of the horse's head.
When I saw the picture in the WS, I got a feeling of sadness that I certainly didn't have when I saw your main photo.
Excellent sharpness in all its details.
You write that you like horses. Perhaps you can answer my question. Is it true that horses dare to bite their owner? I don't mean in cases of abuse or neglect. But biting an owner who takes good care of his horse.
I once spoke to a man who was bitten by his own horse and he told me that you should never turn your back on your own horse. I didn't really know the person well but thought he was a horse lover. However, I found it very strange. I've never heard of a dog biting its loving master.
Best regards, Paul

Default To PaulVDV: Horse Biting

Thank you for your warm comments and interesting query, Paul.

I have never had a horse of my own, just met them at riding schools but would have loved to own one.
I have never known a horse try to bite me or heard others complain about them but, I suppose you could perhaps get a rogue horse, just like you occasionally get a rogue dog.
Whatever you think, there will always be someone who has an experience to contradict your ideas.

Have a good day, Bev 😊

Unfortunately not only rogue horses will attempt to bite you. A friend of mine had a number of horses and gave the same advice about not turning your back on them. Not all will try to bite, but enough for the warning to be valid.

Haven't you heard the expression "I love you so much I could eat you"? ;-)

Thanks Beverley and Keitht.

Gert, that expression is only used by cannibals

Kind regards,
