To worldcitizen: Writing on the road

Hello Brenda, at many of the cycle races fans will write or paint the names of their favourite cyclists on the road.
They usually use paint that will wash away in the rain.
Yes this name was written in chalk, 'CAV' for Mark Cavendish, a well known and popular British sprinter. Unfortunately every time a vehicle ran over the chalk, it began to disappear!
I am sure that Cav was too busy thinking about getting up the hill!
