Hello Gert,
Someone I met a long time ago told me with great regret that Baghdad was a modern city. You don't think it's interesting either.
42°C at sunset is quite warm but that was in 1970, a time when the results of global warming were not yet so clearly felt.
It is likely that it has become warmer in July in later years. Temperatures of over 40°C are now experienced during the summer in many southern European countries. I also remember it from Andalusia.

You're right: I do like beaches... it's just that I don't feel lying down on them, at least not for long (which is more than an hour or two)... ...except perhaps now and then in Greece! And from your Lanzarote pictures...well, we might just give that a go too! B ![]() |
