Hello Elaine,
It is a great shock and a sadness that a country seems to be moving backwards, with reference to the freedom and the democracy of the people!
This is a heartwarming portrait of an old lady, devout and sincere in her message to her god. Her face and hands are particularly well captured.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
On FB, this morning, I saw a young lady performing a dance exercise. The video she was making inadvertently recorded the black vans heading through the city, the beginning of the coup!

Thank you Ronny,
I also remember that some journeys in India took much longer than anticipated. I will never forget a bus trip in the Himalayas in the 1990s that normally took 12 hours eventually lasted 20 hrs. And my train from Delhi to Amritsar (but coming from Agra) that was due to leave in the evening only arrived in Delhi in the middle of the night. Everyone at the platform had already prepared to spend the night on a bench. During my two recent trips in South India, things went pretty smoothly. Before starting a hike, I always ask how long it normally takes. I will double the time to know if I can make it the same day ![]() Best regards, Paul |
