Hello Craig,
Not many people will get this view of the north of Iceland. In fact, it would appear that not many people see this area from the ground either, as there is so little evidence of people.
We get a superb, uninterrupted view of the coast, the relative narrow coastal plain and the contrasts between rich blue of the ocean and the vivi green of the land.
I am curious, is the road in good condition for such a lonely place?

great question! I should have noted that in the description. the roads are, in all honesty, hit and miss. You'll drive a stretch of 10 km on perfectly paved roads...then the next 20 km are pot holed and slow moving gravel with no pavement. Its totally random when you get out to these far far reaching rural areas. but in this photo the roads are excellent. thanks again! |
