Hello Jorge,
This must have been a rich monastery long ago. It looks more like a palace. I wonder where the monks got all that money? You had another cloudy day but as usual you managed a fine and clear photo with good sharpness and colours.

in fact it was the same day, I had few hours free in yaroslavl and came back to moscow. the monastery was loved by ivan, the terrible and received money from him, and the first romanov was a guest here and liked the place too. of course during imperial times these monasteries and churches received money from government and from the religious people. not for other reason religion was persecuted with intense hate by the communists after 1917, it was very linked with the imperial power and the higher part of society. they wanted to take the love of the proletarians from the church to their party, creating an atheist religion, but wasn't successful... take care jorge
