Hello Chris,
I wonder if you have ever taught Ancient Egypt to your students! I used to teach it to a class of seven year olds and knew just how interested they would be, from building pyramids that they could crawl inside, to studying and sending messages in hieroglyphs!
I love photographs that show the history of these ancient peoples, like this, which reveal their skill and artistry.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Bev
I learned a lot of ancient history in high school in the 70's and was quite good at it. But when I got to Turkey and Europe in 2013/14 and Jordan/ Egypt in 2016, I encountered so many new discoveries that occurred long after I had left school. Gobekli Tepe, Çatalhöyük near Konya, Ain Ghazal Statues in Jordan, The Thracians in Bulgaria (older than ancient Egypt) and even after I left Patara in 2014, yet more discoveries have been made recently. I used to think Ancient History was static. How wrong I was. https://eu.greekreporter.com/2020/10...ntalya-turkey/ |
