Hello Jorge,
This must have been a very modern and attractive building when it was first opened. Now it has scars of many years' neglect and maybe a difficult climate. The garbage container placed by the entrance also indicates a lack of consideration from the authorities. The note is very interesting, but I am surprised that you still speak of the indigenous, native peoples as "Indians". After all, you have been to the "real" India, which is a very long way from Brazil.
