Great ElSato 2005-09-08 19:24

Bertrand,

I knew you'd have a zillion congratulations for this image -- it's stunning!

Just a few points that work perfectly: the position of the boy's body relative to the horizon, the large open space of water at the front, the boy's water-slicked skin, the boy's amazing form as he jumps, the reflections of light on his skin, the clarity and focus, and the feeling of speedy movement caught for one, brief, utterly still moment.

Finally, I don't think anyone has commented on the poetry, which I quite like, although I prefer the French version. One small thing: I think the second-last line could be better translated, perhaps something like: "All is unconcern and the lightness of being" or "Nothing but unconcern and lightness of being."

A really excellend shot, so I'll add my congratulations to all the others.

Lee

Default To ElSato: Thanks

Hi Lee
Thanks a lot for your positive comment.
Thanks for your work about my note.
My problem is my bad english. I write in french like poesy but i think it's not possible to translate with the same precision. I use the translator of TE.
I change my note immediatly.
Thanks a lot
Bertrand

My French is a lot worse than your English, so don't worry about it. I'm glad I could help.
