Great designsoul 2006-11-30 13:21

Hi Peter,
A work full of wonders. Very nice composition, a great feel. I like it and feel that the soul of Portugal dwells somewhere within. However, hope you don't mind me making a WS for it. I find the red too saturated, and feel it needs a bit more cyan and less red to bring out the textures of the sweater. I have also made it sepia (cannot get away from myself, eh?)
take care,
sasa

Default To designsoul: Thanks

Sasa, "getting workshopped" is one of the best things in TE, especially by photographers I admire. I don't mind your workshop at all, I thank it.

It's true I exagerated the saturation of the reds, you have a point there.

I considered turning this into B/W, because it evokes past times, and the subject of the photo seemed adequate. However, I don't have a lot of sensibility for B/W right now, I always miss the colors, and I feel I still have top learn HOW to turn a photo into B/W, or sepia, whatever. It's not that trivial to get it right.

You got it right, though. I'm learning. Thanks!
