Simon,

Didn't realize that you are a volunteer with the Cambridge National Trust Group! I just sent them my membership form so I'll be meeting you soon! I saw this picture on their website and wondered who'd taken it.

I like the black and white, and it works well for an informative shot about hedgelaying. I heard that the government is trying to encourage hedge laying because so many of the hedges have been dug out (at their request) and they've found it has reduced animal populations. Too bad they didn't realize how important those hedges were before they had them removed.

Actually I'm the forester (well thats if you can call 300 acres of woodland a forest) however we do all things and coppicing the woods for stakes to do the hedgelaying. Here the volunteers are helping me and Wimpole is in the background.
