Hello Andrew,
The contrasts between dark areas and the different kinds of light make this picture quite dynamic. The fine details of the railings along the steps also tell us this is an old and antiquated building, which to me adds an excting feeling of being in a new and unknown big city. I wouldn't say that Buenos Aires is very high on my list of places I have to see, but it's there somewhere.

Gert, I wouldn't say that Buenos Aires is toward the top of cities I've visited, so you're probably right to have it a bit further down the list, but it's unquestionably worth a look. I have to say, though - and this is surprising given the general consensus - I liked Santiago de Chile more, both as a city and as a tourist destination.
