Photographer's Note

Dromedaries (With their unique hump they are dromedaries even if everyone calls them camels) are our tireless heavy carriers and they have very bad breath. However they remain quite proud, looking down on everyone. A friend seeing this picture just shouted : "Hey ! This is Charles de Gaulle !" :)
The picture was shot around noon during a siesta in one of the wadis West of Djanet.
I guess there will be TE members questioning my preference for B&W. I also have color pictures of the animals and I definetely prefer the B&W ones. Yet I can't explain why. I feel these B&W are more powerfull, maybe even forcefull somehow they demand attention. I experimented something on several people : Show a set of my B&W and suddenly without warning present a couple of color views. They all were surprised and expressed a kind of relief seeing the first color one that seemed to deliver them of some burden. Then they came back onto the B&W and eventually declared them more powerfull. You can experience for yourself looking at this picture and then at this one. I'll provide more test material in the future.
