Photographer's Note
I would like to try Papagolfade from Benin. This is the Basilique de l'Immaculée Conception, constructed in 1909 in front of the voodoo python temple in Ouidah.
Ouidah is a city on the Atlantic coast of Benin.

Hi Hisashi,
I just like the way the grey of the building merges with the grey of the sky. The building itself is very unique and beautiful and the color scheme is amazing. Excellent sharpness too. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

Bonjour, cher ami Hisashi,

My best regards.

Hi Hisashi,
a good framing lightly off-centre, for to show us this church, which sober architecture and without filigranes calls our attention because of its high aesthetic level and its gray and white colors, which are fused with the sky and the clouds very graphically.
I like the detail of both bells on both sides of the church, and the green complement that the trees provide at your composition. A good honouring to our friend Philippe.
Best regards,
Josep

Hello dear Hisashi
What a beautiful papagolfade. The colours are very natural and striking. I like the effect of the wide-angle lens, the perspective is wonderful.
TFS and my thoughts are with Japan as they endure this terrible tragedy. I hope you and your loved ones are safe.

This is a very peculiar photo. First of all the architecture of this church which one should not expect in Africa. Its textures an colour makes the photo looks like a painting, maybe because the edges are clearly defined. Then there is a fine contrast between the strong light and the cloudy sky. Third, there is no one in sight! It looks a deserted place and this enhances the impression of an old painting. Last I like the symmetrical composition. So neat and pleasant to see.
Have a nice day,
Donato

Hello Hisashi,
This church in the pure lines has a color slightly different from that of the sky, what creates a pleasant effect. The photo is of a good neatness. A very pleasant and interesting image of Benin. Bravo.
Have a nice sunday

Hi Hisashi,
Most of all I am glad to hear that you are safe.
I am really so sorry for the catastrophe.
The picture is very pretty. I would not expect to see this type of architecture in Africa. Very charming and well taken care off. The heavy clouds make a good background.
Beautiful postcard, TFS,

Hi Hisashi,
I've read that you were safe and that is reassuring; you were the first person I thought about when hearing the terrible news on the radio that morning. I hope that you and your fellow countrymen feel the concern from everyone around the world and that you don't feel abandoned. The whole world have the greatest respect and sympathy for Japanese people and that shows the consideration and reverence you are inspiring.
The news bulletins keep us on alert about outcomes and aftermaths of the earthquakes and tsunami, but they also tell us how Japanese people behave with dignity, calm and honor. You are an example for the rest of the planet, as there is no looting, no violence, no lost of control and chaos like we can see in other countries.
Courage and strength of mind my friend.
Stay safe Isashi.

Hello Hisashi,
We get everyday images to see on TV about the hard problems in te nuclear, everyone hope that very quick find the system for cooling of the reactors
The old architecture and grey color care for an attractive picture, you choose for a very well angle, this gives a nice perspective.
Excellent sharpness and clarity.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hello Hisashi,
one particular shot where the gray facade of the Church is the same as a single background color of the sky.
Excellent sharpness.
Maybe a little 'too face the POV, I moved the church a bit' right.
Thanks for sharing
