Photographer's Note
This was taken at the fetish market in Ketou. I had about 2 hours to kill while waiting for this little boy's father (who didn't show up in the end anyways!) , so I decided to snap a few shots around the tables. This little guy was very curious but apprehensive of the "yovo" or white man. Notice the scarification on his cheeks behind his hands. He was a little shy of the camera. Just look at the walls of his home though, it's heartbreaking really as I sit here on my computer in a room the size of his entire house!
