Photographer's Note
I intend to share few more beach photos from Boa Vista but for a change I wanted to show something different. At the time of writing, there are just three huge all-inclusive resorts on the Boa Vista Island, all of them belong to the hotel chain Riu. Riu Karamboa, Riu Palace and Riu Touareg. The last one is the most isolated, built pretty much like an oasis in the desert and with its architecture as the name suggests it refers to the North African style. The place which comes to my mind for comparison is the famous Moroccan Aďt Benhaddou. Of course, as it is usually in the case of the hotels, the architecture is largely simplified here with just simple references to the style.
I usually avoid showing photos of a hotel, making exceptions only if a hotel is truly extraordinary, which was the case here. One can say that the hotels are the most sophisticated man-made structures on the island. In addition to it, this was my only blue hour session on Boa Vista. It is a fragment of a wider view from the balcony of the room, where I stayed. I had an amazing sea view, but I decided the buildings themselves are more interesting.

Though it was a windy evening, Mariusz, managed quite good outcome on this sight at night.
Beautiful same pattern buildings, even as you tried to avoid hotels photos - this one justifies the post.
Good afternoon,

Hello Mariusz,
I can recognise the traditional North African architecture that was the main inspiration for this large hotel complex. You captured it in a nice and warm light, which makes a nice contrast with the evening sky and the darker palm trees. Good sharpness as well.

mariusz
when you don't know the original ones these structures looks much more impressive.
lovely the golden lights and you got the best of the place. very beautiful image. anyway it would be better if the architect had used the traditional cubic cape-verdian houses as a model. but in morocco I saw some roman sceneries of movies too.
take care

Ciao Mariusz,in fact the style is very reminiscent of Aďt Benhaddou, and these hotels weren't there in 2000, before reading I had thought of some false attraction for tourists..ehehe..beautiful capture to show something different, here it is really difficult to find ideas and ideas .. Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Hi Mariusz
I did see old building along these lines in Morocco but to see one in the Cape Verde Islands is a bit of a surprise.
A good night photo despite the tricky and very bright lights in the entrance.
cheers

Hello Mariusz.
A nice composition with this night view of the Resort, which has a very marked style to the ancient constructions of the Atlas in Morocco.
In this wonderful image, the sharpness, exposure, colors and POV are fantastic.
Photo very well done. I like it
Enjoy a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
