It is an archival photo, but even 11 years ago when it was taken, this car felt already old-fashioned. I have identified it as the Polish Fiat 125p. About 22,000 of Polish Fiats produced in Poland were assembled in Egypt. It was probably the most popular car in my childhood. I suppose the pyramids are even older.
This is one of the classic points of view towards the Pyramids of Giza. I have marked the coordinates in the panel below under Maps as I always do. One of the problems with this POV is that it is a vast field with nothing there and just a group of tourists taking photos. The car was a great opportunity for an interesting foreground even though I rarely photograph cars. There were crowds of tourists on this parking and beyond, hence I took it so tight. The real colors were off so I decided to get rid of them completely by turning again to something I rarely do: Black and White.

Hello Mariusz,
What a great photo of this old car in front of the amazing pyramids! They make a really good combination. The age of the car goes well together with the B&W also. The light was fine, too and it made the pyramids and their textures stand out so well from the darker shade of grey in the sky.

Hello Mariusz,
I can guess there was a harsh bright desert light that only enable a B&W picture - but that's works well here. A fine picture of the East-Block old imitation of the Italian version of FIAT 125.
A well, chosen POV with the Pyramids on the background.
Good evening,

Hi Mariusz,
Fantastic and original combination. 22000 Polish Fiats means that they are not that common anymore in Egypt either. That type of Mercedes is not much younger but quite usual sight there as far as I have understood. Pyramids look awesome as always.

Hi Mariusz, not a great success for FIAT in Italy for this car,not like 124 or 128,so it's nice to find one in Egypt coming from the polish industries. An original post with one of the most big show of the worlds in background,i like it! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Mariusz,
The old car adds another dimension to this well composed image of the pyramids at Giza. An image aptly presented in black and white with a fine range of tones and very good clarity. Well spotted and nicely realised.

Hello Mariusz,
A remarkable presentation of this special Polish fiat 125 that apparently stayed behind in Egypt. Interesting info with this photo that is rightly in black and white. That perfectly matches the nostalgic atmosphere of the subject.
Excellent work
Have a good weekend, groet Rob

Hi dear friend Mariusz
Good view of this beautiful and lovely car. The clarity and exposure are well done. We know in Iran the name Lada Russian. With respect

Hello Mariusz
This is the kind of picture where I immediately check the year it was taken. 2007 only? I thought it would have been somewhere in the seventies. Could just as well have been... Very impressive picture.

Hi Mariusz
oh man, this is AWESOME. I would never have thought of capturing a scene like this. I honestly feel it came out as a 10 out of 10. Why not use the old beat up car as the fg subject, the bg pyramids fill out the scene so well. I love it! I say bravo for thinking outside the box, and coming up with something unique and different than all the other tourists photos. cheers

Hello Marius,
I just love the idea of a very old car, filling the f/g, with the much older icons filling the b/g!
It looks so much as if the two cars are standing, perusing the pyramids and discussing their pros and cons! They are like two old ladies, chatting about the neighbours over the garden fence!
What a fine, sharp exposure, too!
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hello Mariusz
Ah the good old days before they stuck up a 10 foot high barbed wire fence right around the site. Good tonal range and sharpness and it looks like the Polish Fiats have upstaged the camels, which are nowhere to be seen. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz,
What a lovely photo of this old Polish Fiat! Does Fiat still have a manufacturing plant in Poland? I think B&W suits the mood just fine.

Hello Mariusz.
A good idea for the B & W for this composition, because the pyramids are timeless and these cars, take us back to a distant past of youth, when the normal was black and white,
Excellent POV, with good lighting and sharpness.
Good work. I like it
Have a happy day
Very best regards.
Luis.

I couldn’t help laughing at your comment : “The Pyramids are even older than the Polish Fiats” :-) Whatever the Brexit issue, you deserve to stay in Britain just for your sense of humour :-)
Indeed, that encounter must have made your day, and you made the most of it !
It looks as if there wasn’t even a soul around !! But I do notice the skyscrapers of Cairo in the distance, which puts us in the picture !
Great contrast between the two protagonists and great choice of B&W. I never think about doing that, and yet it often gives excellent results.
Congratulations.
Marie-Louise.
