Photographer's Note
Goats and a goat farmer in the shade on a hot summer's day in south Sinai. This was around the corner from my hotel. After the bombing of a Russian airliner, (Metrojet Flight 9268) on 31 October 2015, there were very few tourists around. The lack of tourist crowds suited me fine.

Hello Chris,
Goats are nice animals and, I believe, quite smart. They are clearly interested in you. Most of them are watching the photographer. Even more interesting is the building with its many small domes. I think they are meant to keep the air cool inside. Light and colours are very nice and again it's a very sharp photo.
Best regards,
Gert

Bonjour Chris,
Les arbres cadrent bien les maisons. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des chčvres et des maisons. La lumičre rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hi Chris,
that looks like a very charming place!
I had the pleasure to see many places in Egypt but this is still on my list. I know what you mean: I benefited this year from Covid in a way that there were not many people around...
I wonder what is more dangerous terrorist attacks or the virus?
I suppose people perceive threat in different way.
There was a case of a but being attacked in this area as well? Not the tourist bus but a but with Egyptian Christians I think.
The goats add such a charming touch.
Very well done,
M

Hello Chris,
These goats dont appear to have any limitations; they are not tethered or have any fencing. Do they just stay close to where they are fed?
They seem very aware of you, which adds more interest to the photograph.
I love those curiously shaped little dwellings, they seem almost like pottery kilns.
Do they all belong to goat herders?
This is a most interesting shot, sharp and and with good, natural colours.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hello Chris,
Not immediately recognisable as a photo from the desert.
Very remarkable buildings with their many small domes.
I was in Sharm El Sheikh in July, 1979. It had very few buildings at the time and even less green spots.
But I do remember these dark goats from other places in the Sinai (Dahab, Nuweiba).
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris
An appealing village with cute fellas grazing, relaxing and staring into space pondering about things. Lovely detail all round with some rich colours, shade, shadow and great dof.
That's a productive shot, Congrats

Hello Chris, I remember that after these terrorist attacks it was not recommended to go to Egypt or Tunisia, so you were brave to go there. But with the fewer tourists, the probability of the attack was smaller. I was in Sharm many years ago and I liked it, especially the snorkelling in the Red Sea.It was fantastic. I even planned to go there once more later. It didn't happen. Nice view of these goats. Such a flat building with the many domes is probably the bath.
Best regards MAlgo
