Photographer's Note

Some outdoor pink granite statues near the Hypostyle Hall in Karnak. I am not sure which Pharaoh this is but he is wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt which had Thebes / Karnak as its capital city.

It's amazing that these statues have survived outdoors in the harsh desert climate with regular temperatures around 48c+ in summer & with frequent sandstorms. Here's a shot I found on Flickr when searching for a name.
