Photographer's Note
At right is the main gate of the Temple of Khonsu, constructed by Ramesses III on the site of an earlier temple. Adjoining on the left are the Temples of Osiris and Opet. All are just a small part of the huge complex of temples at Karnak. This gate is on the southwestern side of the labyrinth. Map here.

Hello Chris,
This photo is fairly similar to my latest post. We are neighbours in the world, if not on the site. The reliefs on the long wall show us the location. This must have been on the outskirts of the complex since you managed to avoid any other tourists. The clear sky indicates that it may have been too hot for most persons.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Chris,
To me the Temple of Khonsu is unknown until now.
A long row of large bas-reliefs adorns the outer wall.
Presented from a good angle.
I'm a little surprised to find so many green plants in June in the south of Egypt.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Chris,
For people, like me, who wish to go but have never been to Egypt, this is a most interesting shot.
The smooth walls speak of the skill of the craftsmen, whilst the inscriptions immediately inform us of its Egyptian origins.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Chris
This is a temple that I don't recall ever having heard of. The slope of the far walls is almost like some camera lens distortion (but not of course!).
In the good large view the carvings suddenly become clear.
cheers

Hello Chris,
It is always impresses me the way 6these ancient temples were built with no machinary only men-handled techniques.
Good distant POV to include the whole edifice and clear view of the Egyption carved elements.
Have a nice new week,
Ike

I think this must be unusual to see this temple without tourists roaming around. The details on the walls are well preserved and good to see here. That sky makes a lovely backdrop

Hello Chris, another amazing piece of architecture from Karnak.
In the large version we can fully appreciate all the carvings as well as the size of each piece of stone.
I am surprised to see no-one about.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hello Chris.
Magnificent composition with this door of the temple of Khonsu, flanked by the two great two pylons, ideal the wall that we see full of figures made on the wall, resounding blue sky.
An image to enjoy, with its beautiful coloring, great luminosity and perfect sharpness.
Superbly captured. Love it.
Happy start of the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Chris,
I have visited Karnak but I don't recall seeing this part. I suppose this is a huge complex so one really needs a lot of time to find a way through all places.
I would really like to visit this place someday again especially while having a great sky like you had.
Excellent work,
M
