Photographer's Note
Although not as impressive as Karnak a few km to the north, the city Temple in Luxor is still well worth a look. Most people stay in Luxor and it's only a few minutes walk from a lot of hotels & guesthouses. It dates from 1,400 BC. A late afternoon shot with long shadows and a warm colour temperature of the sun bathing the columns. More info here:

Hello Chris,
I saw both temples but I don't remember which one evoked the strongest feelings. I think I was quite impressed by them both. You had a very good light here, and I imagine the temperature may have fallen below 40 °C. A few daredevils ventured into the open. Sharpness and colours are very good.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Chris, viewed in the large version, I can fully appreciate the wonderful stone columns, they are so beautiful.
They give shadows across the ground creating a stripy foreground.
The people provide scale, and I like that the couple in the centre are almost in silhouette.
Happy New Year.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Chris,
Though I have never been to Egypt, I have followed so many interesting programmes about it, I almost feel I have visited such places!
The light is glorious and adds interest to the courtyard with the striped shadows it produces.
This is a spectacular temple and the scale is confirmed by the presence of the figures. It really makes one wonder about the skill of the masons and the engineers, to have created and erected such a huge, stone building!
I wish you all the best for a happy and safer New Year, Bev :-)

Hello Chris,
A fantastic view of the temple complex, whose golden glow looks amazing against the pale blue sky. The people make a great addition and add a sense of scale among the huge pillars.

Hello Chris,
For sure the temple looks very impressive.
A mosque appears to have been built in the middle of the remains.
Beautiful play of light and shadows on the square and also on the thick columns on the right.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2021,
Paul

Hi Chris
Terrific image, a very well composed and photographed shot of these ancient architectures. I particularly like your chosen point of view, great light, detail and soft colour. The long shadow and human input give that extra dimension to this perfectly balanced image. Wonderful shot
Best regards

La présence des personnes a un effet d'échelle de grandeur. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du Temple de Luxor. La lumičre donne de belles teintes aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

It looks pretty impressive to me and with your well chosen PoV and warm light you do it justice. The people are there to give the complex scale.

Hi Chris,
very impressive view of the Luxor Temple.
Nice low position of the sun contributed long shades here. Very nice warm color tones.
Presence of few but not too many people added some life to the scene.
I had the pleasure to visit it, very impressive place.
Very well done,
M
