Photographer's Note

This is a view of the top of 2 columns in the Hypostyle Hall in the Temple of Karnak in Luxor.

At the time the city was called Thebes and the temple was built over a 1300 years period. The construction of the Hypostyle Hall was started by Ramesses I, continued by Seti I his son and ended by Ramesses II his grandson.

What I find amazing is that even these colums were erected something like 3300 years ago, some colors are still visible.
