Hello Stephen,

What a strong, riveting portrait!
The eyes, slightly bloodshot, are intense in their concentration, maybe, in this case, worry.
The texture of the skin is almost palpable.
Great sharpness against the blurred b/g.

This portrait tells a story!

A strong portrait of a proud and very determined Uncle. I think what strikes me about this portrait, besides the obvious facial features and earrings, is how beautifully the simple green leaves work as a counterpoint to the steely brown skin tone. I like the way his sharp eyes are looking elsewhere, but with interesting catchlights. A fascinating capture full of 'feeling' and his textured face speaks volumes giving his expression more depth. Delicious to look!!
