Photographer's Note
when i was in djenne, i went on a rooftop of a house for taking pics of the big mosque. on the way there i could have a glimpse in a backyard of a local family who was drying the fish there.
Djenne is famous for its Sudanese-style architecture. Nearly all of the buildings in the town, including the Great Mosque, are made from sun-baked earthen bricks which are coated with plaster. The weekly Monday market is an interesting tourist attraction.
