Essaouira is an exceptional example of a late-18th-century fortified town, built according to the principles of contemporary European military architecture in a North African context. Since its foundation, it has been a major international trading seaport, linking Morocco and its Saharan hinterland with Europe and the rest of the world.The town is also an example of a multicultural centre as proven by the coexistence, since its foundation, of diverse ethnic groups, such as the Amazighs, Arabs, Africans, and Europeans as well as multiconfessional (Muslim, Christian and Jewish). Hello Ecmel,

The big group small fisher boats in blue colour make your picture nice.
But the sea in background is a wonderful addition with the white waves.
Colours and sharpness are perfect and pleasing to look at.

Bonjour Ecmel,

Je m'en veux encore d'avoir raté ce petit port de pčche lors de mon séjour au Maroc. Mais comme on ne peut pas toujours tout voir il faut se contenter des photos des autres. Celle-ci est merveilleuse.

fantastique vue quel effet toutes ces barque bleues de męme couleur et forme superbe avec ce mur ancien usé ces oiseaux en vol les vague la roche quel ensemble et image.

A very beautiful general overview of the small harbour, the rocky coastline and the walled city of Essaouira.
The blue colour of the boats makes the picture very attractive and the foreground got a nice little graphical effect.
Excellent depth and composition.

All those dighies make an impressive group together. Fun to see all them in uniform deep blue. Town on the right makes very nice background.
