Two shades, a photo from Marrakech, South

Photographer's Note

Another moment seized on the Place of Koutoubia with Marrakech with laying down sun.
No assembly, no faking...
the two young women are in a perfect alignment, but the shade is double and I was surprised when I saw the picture
This image is the small sister ofthis picture
and with this image posted on TE in May 2006, I was likely to gain this summer the first price of a great photo contest in France.
it's a voyage (11 day) in South Africa for 2 personns wwhich I would make at the end of October
I wanted to make you divide my happiness :o)

Hi,
Very very well framed. At a first glance, you do not see two people. You have to look at the shades to realise it.

The lamp & the color of the wall adds to it.

Salut Patrice, what a fantastic shot! that wonderful orange wall is perfect to have a great contrast with the shadows.

Bonjour, Patrice. Tu as trčs bien exploité les ombres qui se détachent sur l'ocre du mur. Le contraste entre les vętements de la dame et le mur fonctionne trčs bien. Les deux points forts de l'image sont bien placés et reliés par une belle diagonale imaginaire.

Superbe cliché tout orange. C'est vrai que l'on a l'impression que le personnage possčde une double ombre. Bravo pour le concours et je puis t'assurer, selon la formule consacrée, que tu ne seras pas "déçu du voyage".

Magnifique cliché, du grand art, c'est amusant ces deux ombres, alors que l'on aperçoit qu'une seule personne, bien joué. Une belle diagonale entre les personnages et la lampe.
Félicitations pour le concours et tu sera ravi du voyage en Afrique du Sud, ces 15 jours d'aoűt fűrent trčs riches en découvertes de paysages, faunes et peuples.

Cette image est vraiment bizarre avec le double ombre. Ton cadrage avec la dame dans un coin et la lampe dans un autre est bien pensé. Le fond orange est superbe est permet de faire ressortir les contrastes.

Superbes couleurs ! Les ombres sont vraiment belles. On a l'impression qu'il n'y a qu'une personne et l'on s'apperçoit que ce n'est pas vrai en regardant le mur !

What an alignment! Downloaded your image, zoomed in and out, yet couldn't find any trace of the second person. It's already a beautiful photo, even with a single shadow. But 1 person/2 shadows makes it a quite unique one.

Simple but so effective. The orange wall, the composition with the lamp in one corner and the woamn in the other. At first you wonder why she is holding a finger, then the ice of the cake is the discivery of the 2 shadows... very impressive composition job. Bravo!

Je suis sans voix. Remarque qu'avec tes photos, je perds souvent la voix. Faudrait peut-ętre que j'en parle ŕ mon médecin! ;)
Non seulement as-tu l'oeil artistique qui sais dénicher le graphisme et la beauté du monde, mais en plus, tu sais quand appuyer sur ce fameux petit bouton juste au bon moment, le fameux "moment décisif". Pour le commun des mortels, "il n'y a rien lŕ". Avant de faire de la photo, je pensais aussi comme ça. Depuis un an, je rate tellement de moments décisifs que j'en suis malade (ŕ l'aide médecin!). J'ai la mauvaise habitude de peser sur ce charmant déclencheur une mini-fraction de seconde trop tôt ou trop tard... :( Alors, c'est une des raisons pourquoi j'admire la prouesse que démontre de cette photo.
Sur un plan plus symbolique, on a tous notre ombre... Alors, en avoir deux, ce n'est sűrement pas de la tarte! ;)
Bravo Patrice pour cette image magnifique. Je suis certaine qu'elle pourra un jour te faire gagner un autre voyage!

Salut Patrice, ahh yess!
Elle est terrible aussi la tienne et je constate qu'elle a rencontré également un grand succčs ici, y a de quoi, ce mur est tellement photogénique, il propose un arričre plan de toute beauté, colorée, avec en plus des jeux d'ombres particuliers. Ta photo a 2 points forts par rapport ŕ la mienne, d'une part le fait que tu l'ai posté en premier donc prime a toi pour l'originalité et deuxičmement ton jeu d'ombre avec cette simple passante projetée deux fois sur le mur est vraiment intriguant ... quel synchronisme dans le déplacement de ces 2 femmes !
A juger de la position de l'ombre je dirai qu'il devait etre environ 19h, 20h ... a vu de nez ;)
