Zčbres et gnous se déplacent généralement ensemble, en troupeaux de taille variable (de quelques unités ŕ plus d'un million pour la "grande migration"), mettant ŕ profit leurs qualités sensorielles respectives, l'ouie pour les uns, la vue pour les autres, pour détecter la présence de leurs prédateurs, en l'occurence les lions. A la moindre alerte, c'est la débandade et la troupe part au galop, dans un concert de hennissements et de meuglements, dans un nuage de poussičre.

Zebras and wildebeests travel most often together in herds (from a few units to more than one million for the "great migration"), turning into profit their respective sensorial capacities, sight for the ones, hearing for the others, so as to escape from their predators, namely the lions. At the least alarm, the herd disperse in a concert of whinnyings and mooings, with clouds of dust.

Hi Patrick,

what a magnificent scene! I like those stripes showing from the dust slowly as we are closer to them. The cloud of dust makes is feel like a image from a dream, who brougt the beauty along, shyly revealing itself.
Beautifully composed with included foreground greenry that adds a little contrast to otherwise silver-like impression.

Excelente registro da vida animal selvagem. Belo enquadramento, cores e nitidez. A poeira levantada pela manada dá um excelente efeito visual na foto. Parabéns.

Bonjour Patrick,
Il y a de bien belles choses dans ta galerie que je découvre...
J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance de celle-ci avec le nuage de poussičre soulevé par le déplacement des animaux. La note est trčs intéressante également et m'a permis d'apprendre des choses sur les habitudes migratoires de ces espčces.

Bonsoir Patrick,
belle compo animaličre dans cette poussičre qui crée une ambiance. Visiblement et si j'en crois ta note ils ont dű te repérer et commencé ŕ fuir (d'oů la poussičre).
Intéressant de savoir que plusieurs espčces d'animaux collaborent ŕ ce point, mettant leurs facultés respectives ŕ profit.

Greetings Patrick,

A great African shot - some nice details in the foreground where the foliage and a few of the zebra and wildebeest are clear of the dust - but that fabulous African dust works its magic in the way mist often oes in European-based photographs. Great stuff, thanks, Iain
