Photographer's Note

Since I started uploading my photos from Barcelona I feel constantly the pressure to present some Gaudi-related shots. So here you are: Parc Guell.
The park has many different aspects: entrance, stairs, benches on the terrace, plus some walking paths. Many corners offer spectacular views over the town. You cannot catch everything in one shot so here I present a view from the terrace (fragment of a tiled bench in the foreground) to the entrance at which there are two fairy-tale houses, plus city panorama with the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon. Far in the distance you can see two skyscrapers from Barceloneta, and to the left from them two more sharpy group of towers which belong to Sagrada Familia.
I have to admit that even having seen plenty of pictures from Parc Guell, I was not quite sure what to expect. And the reality was very different from what I imagined. You have to see it for yourself.

This place is weird, magical and beautiful, all at the same time! You were there in a beautiful day, you could even the sea in the very bg! The picture is quite nice, with excellent sharpness, correct exposure, natural colors, a very well chosen pov and a superb composition!

This is a nice shot of this interesting architecture. The inclusion of the tiled wall in the foreground adds depth to the shot. The people give a nice sense of scale for the scene. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Czesc Mariusz,
Swiatlo naprawde boskie na tym zdjeciu. Podoba mi sie ten niebieski kolor wody i nieba na horyzoncie, ktory od razu napelnia zdjecie cieplem i optymizmem (tego nie ma np. na zdjeciach z Irlandii) Kompozycja wyszukana. Napewno nie podjalbym sie proby zrobienia zdjecia, ze wzgledu na moje ograniczenia w takich miejscach, wiec juz za sam fakt gratulacje sie naleza.
Niesamowita architektura. Doskonaly material na TE.

Hi Mariusz
When i was about to look at your latest photos, i noticed this one pop up on your 'random' photo list and i peeked my interest.
Like you, i've seen this place before here on TE many timses, buti think this may be the first real wide angle overview.
Is this one HDR as well?
it looks like it is, its just so damn sharp!
I like the colored ledge in the lower fg, it adds color and shows the flavour of the Park. For some reason i'm getting flashbacks of watching "the flinstones"!

Indeed, the late Mr. Gaudi was fascinating with his work and heritage that is most noatable in Barcelona.
Chosen a beautiful POV over the gardens and town, vivid yet I remember the place is most vibrant as well.

*** About HerzigNovi: It is a joli town, especially on evenings when many cafe's and restaurant are open till late night along the bay's promenade, with bands playing all kind of music and dncing.
