Photographer's Note
I snapped this gent reading the paper near Central Station in Brisbane. Perhaps he was killing time waiting for a train as sunday timetables see 30 minute gaps on most lines. In Brisbane the public transport has become quite expensive, and this price rise seems to also have coincided with a drop in performance and service of the trains (many run late or track problems cause long delays).
I shot this dual effect by leaning against a window, and by luck, I was unnoticed, and was able to get a snap.
Title from a song by Sheffield (UK) band, Gang of Four.

Hi Justin,
Nice idea and a superb result. The B&W fits well and i like the contrast between the dark and the bright sides.
Greetings,

Hi Justin,
Very smart , graphic effect .
I`m not a specialist in reflection photos at all, so I do appreciate such works like this.
You have a good eye Justin.
Keep on observing!

Hi Justin,
Cleverly observed and taken. Works well in B/W. Even the bit of rubbish on the ground seems to add well to the composition. The uprights being slightly off centre suits this picture.
Excellent!

it's a "double-killing" the time, justin!...
personally - i'd go for an ideal symmetry in this photo, or (preferably) for off-centered compo of 1/3...
anyway - lucky you were...
best, j.

ah, the Gang of Four - haven't heard them for a long time...
clever juxtaposition of the man and his mirrored version - I am not quite sure how you were standing to get this perfect alignment, but it really works. it's interesting that both halves look really like an extension of each other, as well as the distribution of the elements: the left part is slightly bigger than the right one but the position of the paper on the floor is exactly at the same spot... intriguing. like in those movies when someone pretends to be the mirrored reflection of the protagonist while in reality they're only miming.... :)

Clever idea, Justin and nicely done. I'm leaving TE soon, mate, kind of throwing the towel you know... Look, I really appreciate your interest and support during my brief reappearance - it just feels like an uphill climb each time. Sorry, but I'll look in on your stuff from time to time, and you are very welcome to drop me a line anytime at [email protected], and we will for sure have lunch and coffee together in Toyo if you come by.
All the best,
-F-
