The old train trestle makes a nice feature to this scene in Canmore, Alberta, a town just outside of the Banff Park, but maybe only 15 minutes from the town of Banff. The Bow River runs through much of the park and right through Calgary, Alberta. For a larger view: Click Me

Spectacular view with lots of interest in your composition. There is something interesting going on in every level of the photo. From the nice flowers in the foreground the great bridge in the middle to the spectacular mountains and a gorgeous sky in the background. a truly great phot indeed.

Hello Steve - Canada has some wonderful wild and open landscapes, this one is so lovely with the fast-flowing river running along the valley floor. The wild flowers add a splash of contrasting colour to the blue and green palette and the sky is really attractive. The old wooden bridge makes a fine focal point. I guess now that this scene is covered in snow. Lovely shot. Warm regards Rosemary

this is a cracker. your viewpoint and perspective is fantastic and has helped produce a stunning picture. the foreground flowers are a lovely colour and are well placed to catch our eye and act as a good lead in to the rest of the image. love the mountain scenery in the background, and the wonderfully atmopsheric sky and clouds above.

This brings back very happy memories of a couple of visits to this region. I enjoy your image so much with its lovely flowers in the FG, the fast-flowing river and those very impressive mountains. The partly cloudy sky has given lovely light and shadow areas increasing the wonderful depth to the picture.
