Rode su dosle ...

Rode (lat. Ciconiidae) su familija visokih ptica, dugih nogu i vratova, dugog i tvrdog kljuna.
Rode su ptice dugog vrata i nogu. Visina varira od 75 cm (Ciconia abdimii) do 150 cm (africka sjedlarica). Rep im je uglavnom kratak.
Kljun roda je uvek dugacak i jak, ali razlicitog oblika kod razlicitih vrsta. Tipicne rode iz roda Ciconia imaju prav i tanak kljun, duzine do 35. cm.
Perje roda je u crnim i bijelim tonovima.
Rode su teske ptice, sirokog raspona krila, marabu je tezak oko 9 kg i ima raspon krila od 3,2 metra.
Rode su mesozderi, rasprostranjeno je vjerovanje da se uglavnom hrane zabama, one cine tek jedan dio njihove ishrane. Rode jedu i insekte, gustere, zmije, crve, gliste, male ptice i sisare kao to su hrcci.
Rode snesu tri do pet jaja, rijetko jedno do sedam. Velicina jajeta varira od 5,5 cm (Ciconia abdimii) do 8,5 cm (marabu), a teina izmedju 58 i 146 g. Oba partnera leze na jajima od 25 do 38 dana i obezbjedjuju hranu za mlade. Nakon pedeset do sto dana, mladi mogu da lete.

Storks (Latin Ciconiidae ) are a family of tall bird with long legs and necks , long and hard beak.
Storks the bird with a long neck and legs . Height varies from 75 cm ( Ciconia abdimii ) to 150 cm ( African sjedlarica ) . Rep their generally short .
Stem race is still long and strong , but different forms in different species . Typical storks of the genus Ciconia have a right and a thin stem, the length is 35 cm .
Feathers genus is in black and white.
Storks are heavy birds , wide wingspan , marabou weighs about 9 pounds and has a wingspan of 3.2 meters .
Storks are carnivores , it is widely believed that feeds mainly on frogs , they make up only one part of their diet . Rode eat insects, lizards , snakes , worms, earthworms , small birds and mammals such as hamsters .
Rode lay three to five eggs , rarely one to seven . Egg size ranges from 5.5 cm ( Ciconia abdimii ) to 8.5 cm ( Marabu ) , a weight between 58 and 146 g . Both partners brood of 25 to 38 days and provide food for the young. After fifty to one hundred days , the young can fly .

I like storks so this is the photo that I like a lot. Nice view of the nest and what a mess of the cables! Pleasant picture. Also in Poland it is believed that they eat frogs.

Oh, this stork has no idea how funny he looks to us :)the pole with all those wires is a complete MESS!

but its sort of like the birds nest with all the twigs and branches, very similar in a weird sort of way.

The power lines added a graphic texture to the picture, Pavle, and spring is time for storks in Europe building nexts on high poles.

Hi Paja,
A well taken and quite a funny picture with this well anchored nest, secured by all the cables across the motive. A good balance between the bird in the nest and the "bird" high above.

Storks are real bird that high and dry life but on the electric wires and pole not without danger.
Colours are real, pleasant to look at.

Interessante la contrapposizione tra la cicogna che sembra in trappola e l'aereo che vola libero.

A highly original composition, with this brave storks nest, and I say this because I think they have a great danger, taking the nest surrounded by that kind of cables, which provide a good graphics to the composition.

A nicely spotted elegant stork on the power pole! showing Mom seems to be standing guard up there. You did very well to get such a good close up that you've done so well considering the lighting conditions must have been difficult and blue sky acts as a lovely backdrop. For me; apart from the chick it illustrates how regal these birds are, further evidenced by its location of nest. Well done shot, Congrats

Hello Pavle,
Sometimes wires destroy a photo, but here you have used them to create a superb pattern of diagonals surrounding the stork and the nest. The white jet stream from the airplane is a fine complement to the black lines. But above all, this is a wonderful photo of a magnificent bird, which in this place found perfect extra support for its nest.

Nice lighting on bird's body for good details in plumage.
I also notice telephone wires; those have significant use for a stork taking orders to deliver human newborns to families, according to an obsolete legend!

Zdravo, Pavle,
It makes me smile. The wires look like a gig spider web. In Russian language a stork means AIST. He is a symbol of peace, he brings babies. But we live in very cold region for these birds. Excellent composition, the jet trace is good bonus to this scene.
