Photographer's Note
With a length of 206 km, Jökulsa ŕ Fjöllum is Icelands second longest river. It source lies in the Vatnajökull glacier system and it flows north in to the Greenland sea. It stream over a series of impressing waterfalls and trough the Jökulsarglijufur canyon which forms part of the national park with the same name. The canyon was created some 2000 years ago by a series of glacier floods after the outbreak of Baudarbunga volcano to the south. Considering the recent volcanic activities of Baudarbunga, all roads but one along the canyon and north of it where closed to the public at the period of our visit there and still remind closed to this day.
PS: Info to Craig (macjake): this is a HDR of two shots. I am still learning by doing.

Hello Daniel,
What a fantastic scenery this is. Another photo straight out of the fantasy movie simply called "Iceland". You found a superb POV and the light is equally great. You did the HDR very well by not overdoing it, as is sometimes (too oiften) the case.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Daniel,
The combination of the two types of light here is stunning, the lower part looking like a river of muted liquid silver running across the landscape, while up higher in the scene, the rocks look like they have been carved from solid gold. I really admire your light management too, to capture so much detail in the foreground and such fine detail in the sky cannot have easy to do. Beautiful result.
Best wishes

Bello il susseguirsi delle anse del fiume che dŕ profonditŕ all'immagine...bella la luce che hai saputo ben gestire...belli i colori naturali...il tutto contribuisce a rendere lo scatto decisamente apprezzabile.

Howdy Daniel,
Attractive vertical view of Jokulsa a Fjollum and its surrounding geology, as it meanders through the boulder fields, and enhanced by the highlighted background cliffs. Nature appearing perhaps as it did millennium ago.
Thanks for sharing,
Cheers,

Hello Daniel - A beautiful sight, wild and unspoilt with only the forces of nature leaving their mark upon the landscape. I love the way the river twists and turns its way to the FG of your shot and the contrast between the warm sunlit areas and the cool silvers. I know nothing about HDR processing but this looks good to me.
Have a good week

Hi Daniel
What a magnificent view! Great choice of portrait format to show the full extend of the meandering river. I like the contrast between the bluish parts in the shade and warm light on the cliffs in the distance.

Hi Daniel,
What an incredibly surreal place this must be, almost other-worldy in a way. Unspoiled by man, the natural beauty of the landscape is absolutely gorgeous, and you've done well to put it on such a fine display. A super composition which utilizes the bends of the flowing river to guide us towards the horizon and that sumptuous light. I have no experience with HDR, but whatever your doing seems to be working, everything appears...well, natural. :) Enjoy the new week. Take care.
Friendly wishes,
Jason

Bonjour Daniel,
Amicalement.

Marvelous earth formation, and good light on, Daniel.
Following the curve upstream the river, and the way how it diminishing between the canyon "walls", are excelent asset to the composition. Well shown.
