Photographer's Note

During a trip in China, a visit to a portion of the famous Great Wall is a must ...
Here, a view of a part of the wall situated in north of Beijing, in Juyongguan.
The first construction on this sector dates from 770 -744 BC. AD
Rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty (1368- 1644) and renovated in 1992.
A steep terrain and steps and steps ... to reach the heights and defense towers ... and hikers determined to walk this famous Great Wall.

Voir de ses propres yeux cette muraille de Chine doit ętre exceptionnel !
En revanche, il ne faut pas avoir peur de marcher (longtemps).
La prise de vue est parfaite pour mettre en valeur ce patrimoine architectural qui relčve de l'exploit !

There don't seem to be nearly as many tourists on this section of the wall as at Badaling, and the view is just as good. Excellent sharpness and the wall meandering uphill adds perspective. Tfs!

Hello Jean,
It seems unusual to see a part of the wall in this area with so few persons. I thought it would be crowded at any time of the day, so you were very lucky. You were also lucky to have a man in red shorts so close to you, and with a big gap to the nest persons. The two small towers are perfectly seen at the top of the steep hill. I admire the clarity and fine colours of the photo.

Great capture and it does not seem as crowded as people say.
Fantastic composition with the guy in red shorts adding a nice touch in the foreground.

WOW, chanceux mon ami d'avoir pu profiter de ton voyage en Chine pour faire l'expérience du mur. Il est et restera toujours plus beau que celui que Trump veut ériger. C'est quand męme quelque chose ŕ marcher.

This is a really great photo with perfect vertical format, the Great Wall of China is an impressive structure and you have shown it very well, I like the photo very much, fortunatly you havent many tourists in your lens :)

I have seen many photographs of the wall and this is one of those which I like best. You have really included us into the scene, inviting us to walk the wall with this figure in red shorts. The details of the wall, with its stepped sections, is spread before us and guides us succinctly across the frame.
Excellent light and sense of height.

surtout ŕ nous la montrer la grande muraille j'aime ce cadrage avec le personnes qui donnent l'échelle la pente sur les escaliers on voit trčs bien la construction avec le fines lignes blanche entre le lierre superbe mise en valeur.

Of course the Great Wall of China cant be missing and you show an excellent photo of this part, which winds its way very nicely up towards the top of the hill. The watchtowers are well seen there. The wall in the foreground is nicely framed by all the greenery on both sides.

Hi Jean,
Impressive view of the Great Wall and people climbing on it. Looking at the pictures of the Wall they never seem to be on a flat terrain. Thinking of it, that's quite logical. Higher ground gives better visibility of enemies. And who would draw the border of an empire in the middle of a valley?

Bonjour Jean, an excellent sharp shot that gives us a real impression of actually being on the wall, its steepness is very apparent.
The gentleman in the foreground, in his bright red shorts, is really striding out, and the other people ahead of him give the much needed sense of scale.
I like the towers at the top of the hill.

This great wall of China offer a glance to the impressive masons work done long ago, when there was no modern machinery, work done by hands.
Also offer a great walk along, up and down the mountains.

the walls are similar with the ones I visited, but the other one had a wider track, probably to take horses. a nice view with the stairs and towers of vigilance.
