Photographer's Note

I was drinking my coffee and enjoying the falling snow out from my window. A guy suddenly appeared in my eye sight. It gave me an idea if he could make a trace in the snow would be beautiful....he did and it was nice to view too.

Yes, and the tires traces are nice too with this soft curve that the man's traces and those of his dog are intersecting. Original idea well done. Adding some Chritsmas decorations, I see a nice Xmas card here.

Hello Anna,
This is a very nice photo. The traces, the light, the snow all contribute to a very cosy atmosphere. The street makes two bends that are perfect for your composition. The person walking the dog gives us a sense of homeliness and safety. Soon they will be back in their nice house, like one of those we see here. The falling snow, some flakes hitting the lens, makes this look rather like a Christmas card, athough it was actually two months late.
But a very good picture it is anyway.

First I was like "Is it already snowed this much in Canada?!!" Then I saw the date. February make sense :)
It is a magical photo, falling snow, trace of dog paws on the road and red garage entrance bars. I think I miss snow Congrats!

Really nice.
A totally christmas feeling. Well framed with the curves and the foot tracks. Just a minor detail. The red poles on the right side distract my attention a bit.
Nevertheless, great shot.

Hi Anna,

This is so tasteful photograph in winter season, so it's impressive to see the spectacle which a resident accompanied by the dog is walking the curved passage in snowy day. Furthermore, it's effective two curved traces of car and cute footprints of dog on snow under the situation where it is snowing. And, it's also interesting in suburban residence in back. Well composed and excellent tone/clarity.

Dear Anna, that picture touched me a lot I don't know why
the snow is falling down like diamonds, excellent view of Saint-Hubert street in the heart of winter season, it's close to Longueuil..

hi anna. despite its freezing subject, there is a very "home sweet home" feeling to it. i don't know, maybe the footprints of the couple leading the eye to the house and the christmas atmosphere may have caused this feeling. the pentagon shapes of the snow flakes are lovely. i had no idea they would look so under the flash light.

wow is the word that came out of my mouth as soon as i saw the frame.really an amazing frame,and the mood and feel it creates is just beautiful.love the foot and tyre marks,and the reds just breaks the monotony created by the white.a treat to the eyes and the senses.

this brings back many memories for me growing up on the East Coast, and in Ottawa.
the light fixture on the bottom is a bit of nuisance :)
but probably you couldn't get it out of the way since you took this through a window - thats ok :)

love the way the light glistens and the prints left by the person and the dog!
a sweet canadian scene many of us can relate too.

Hello Anna,
A very interesting point of view.
By looking this image,I have the impression to feel the coolness ,but that trancribes perfectly the particuler atmosphere of a cold snowy night.
Actually,the man and his dog are a very interesting point of the picture.and particularly their traces in the snow,with a differente trajectory of the car traces.That gives your picture a good graphic effect.

it's a nice winter scene with lots of snow around :) I see that you shot this photo with a flash - the clearly visible snowflakes on the right became a very good balance for the composition!
the main 'hero' of this scene - the guy walking his dog - also tells us a little story...
interesting daily life shot!

The tires tracks on the snow are giving depth to the composition. You have captured well the action of the person walking his or her dog. The snow has a special effect om the colors. Have a nice day.
