"Strbske Pleso, Slovakia, is the highest settlement in the highest mountain range of eastern Europe. The High Tatras, with mountains reaching 2600 m, are for more than 100 million people their nearest real mountains, they have to go to the Alps to come higher up. Along the southern rim of the Vysoke Tatry you have several small villages where people earn most of their income from tourism: Nova and Tatranska Polianka, Sibir, Stary, Novy, Horny and Dolny Smokovec, Tatranska Lesna, Tatranska Lomnica... All of them are at ca. 1000 m, except for Strbske Pleso at around 1350 m. As the moutains have a national park status, there will never be any settlements higher up here. Strbske Pleso is therefore, and will always be, the unique starting place for hikes into the most beautiful mountains of Eastern Europe."

That's really beautiful! Colors are charming and it almost looks like a painting. The cloulds and the shape of the mountains create a feeling of speed and that's great!

Hi Piotr, a fantastic composition, with beautiful Autumn colours and a deep blue sky, helped by the polarizer. I can't believe the water is so still, it looks like a mirror. Finally, the little splash of colour from the flower in the left foreground sets it off perfectly. Very well done! My only criticism is the absence of a note - it would be nice to have some more information about this wonderful place. Colin.

Okayish landscape but if you go past the magnificent colors (probably you went a bit overboard with yellow saturation) a few things don't work for me in your photo :
- horizon level (lake level in fact) which is too close to the midst of the photo, that is generally an akward position because our viewing doesn't know easily where is the weight in your picture, what in fact you meant as the most interesting part. - Foregound competing too much which background, partly due to reason number one. I think in your situation, avoiding the rocks was the best solutions, it would clear up the viewing.

Hello Piotr, so wonderful sharpness, really fantastic hue, also the reflection. Also using the wide lens plays here superb, one of the nicest shot form Strbske Pleso what I have ever seen, like form the book:-), tfs.

Cześć
Piękny jest ten jesienny górski widok. Piękne krystalicznie, czyste odbicie w wodzie, ładne kolory i światło, bardzo dobra ostrość

Wonderful colors and a great, razor sharp resolution and clarity. The reflection is amazing.
The only thing I could ask for is to change the POV a bit to the right - to see the full curve of the right bank of the tarn. This would lead the view from the very front along the bank to the mountains and further to the left border.
Anyway, this is an extraordinary photo which will be long in my memory.
Best regards,
Adrian

Hi Piotr,
This is an absolutely stunning image. Wow, the autumn colors are amazing and your composition perfect. I really like how the foreground feels so part of the entire image and the reflections are superb. Very well seen and TFS. Gerald
