Photographer's Note

Hello my friends,

This is my fifth post about Talsari. It is in the state of Orissa and very near to West Bengal. I got this beautiful moment at the time when the sun first appeared in the sky.

Talasari is one of the less exploited Odisha beaches and it is not as frequently visited by the people as the other beaches of Odisha. The waters of the sea at Talsari beach are not turbulent but calm and peaceful.

Witnessing sunrise and sunset from a gleaming stretch of white sand is a rewarding experience.

Another feature of Talsari that fascinates tourists is its backwaters, which one needs to cross to reach the sea.

Yes Swapan, watching the sun rise or set over an ocean from a sandy beach, is definitely a delicious experience.
Oh, but how the sea is calm here, but this is a lovely scene, moody, and the boat to help fill the shot.

Hello Swapan,
I had to look if you had reghistered this as color or B%W. I guess it could be called just sepia. It's a very poetic image with a fine composition. The boat is well placed opposite the spit of land, facing the reflections of the rising sun. I think the clouds will soon be gone when the sun has heated up the air some more.

Hello Swapan,

Your notes confirm the impression created by your photograph, that the waters are calm and peaceful.
The sepia treatment works well to enhance this mood.

It is a beautiful scene and so very well composed, using the rule of thirds, with the focal boat strongly positioned off-centre.

Sunset or a sunrise, but what the difference photography-wise? the sight is awesome.
The sun glittering over water is an asset to the compo., and there is a fine silhouette of the boats on the bay.
