Glacier du Trient, a photo from Valais, West

Photographer's Note

This is my first picture of Switzerland, but not one of the nicest photos in my gallery, I think.
You can see the Glacier du Trient in the background. The wooden cross stands in a place called "Les Tseppes", above Trient (the village).

Very nice perspective of this beautiful country. I wonder what the significant of the cross is. Great POV and DOF with sharp details. Nice colors. You did a wonderful job, tfs.

PAs la plus jolie ... mais moi j'aime bien . Un paysage agréable de moyenne montagne , avec la croix d'alpage et le mélčze qui font un bon premier plan , et les sommets bien enuagés en toile de fond .

nice the placement of the wooden cross lead-in the eye on the glacier in Switzerland.I like the good light management as the colours of the scene.A good photojob.

Hi Stephane,

Even though this is bright midday light, I like the interesting composition with the cross and the glacier. It's a very scenic valley indeed.

Absolutely a very difficult picture to take, the white light in background is very strong.
You found a very good solution, it's splendid done.
We get an excellent panorama image with very soft and fine colors.
Sharpness and clarity are perfect.

If this is not your nicest photo in your gallery, wonder the best photo you have.... I wouldbe happy to be the one to take this picture.. Good choice of foreground, beautiful green grass, lovely colorful flowers and the cross and nice background... feel like sitting there enjoying the view for the whole day..
