Photographer's Note

Welcome back.
Finally I have some time to look through the photographs which I took during my recent trip to Portugal.

First day:
we arrived in Porto in the late afternoon. I knew already that for the blue hour I want to reach Ponte Dom Luis I, amazing bridge over river Douro, with a breathtaking view (in this picture) from its top deck (about 45 meters high). On the right hand side you can see the most famous Ribeira district, and far in the distance another bridge: Ponte da Arrabida.

I have to admit that I was inspired by this photo which I have seen on TE before.

Porto was without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we have seen in Portugal. We regret that we didn't spend there more time.

Hello Mariusz,
The views from the Dom Luis I bridge are always wonderful and this evening picture shows the river banks with its beautiful houses in a wonderful golden light and the Douro with lots of reflections.
With the curve in the river and the other bridge at the horizon this composition is very good.

Witaj Tyle jest zdjęć z Porto i tego mostu, ale nie widziałam takiego ujęecia. Znakomite kolory i świetny POV. Choć ten most nie dla mnie właśnie, to jakoś musiałam przez niego przejść, co było dla mnie koszmarem. O robieniu jakichkolwiek zdjęć nie bylo mowy. Wspaniałe zdjęcie. Pozdrawiam

Wow, what a beautiful late blue hour shot with a very nice framing - the river makes all the difference - and adequate sharpness. Congrats. It's a very moody interpretation, but also very romantic, in particular the lights. Well done

Twoja ulubiona godzina na zdjęcia i zawsze znajdziesz odpowiedni POV, świetnie wygląda to miasto spowite światłem i lekką mgiełką (pewnie spaliny!)
Wpuszczają do samolotu z tripodem, czy nadajesz jako bagaż?

Czesc Mariusz,
Wlasnie siedze w internet cafe w Faro (czekajac na samolot) i ogldadam Twoje pierwsze, potugalskie zdjecie. Musze przyznac, ze to miasto noca jak i Twoj punkt obserwacyjny oraz miejsce, ktoro sobie wybrales na zdjecie robi wrazenie. Ja wciaz jeszcze czuje ta temperaturke, ale jutro juz polska, deszczowa pogoda zmyje opalenizne :) Ta fota to kawal dobrej roboty!
Ja niestety zasiade przed komputerkiem za ok. dwa tygodnie, ale do tego czasu "podgladne" Twoje nowe prace.

Świetne zdjęcie. Niesamowite oświetlenie i ostrość. Idealne na pocztówkę :) Ujęcie dopracowane w każdym calu. Jestem raczej miłośniczką krajobrazów nieco mniej "miejskich" ale od tego zdjęcia na razie nie mogę oderwać oczu :)

An excellent POV of these place taken at night. The reflection of the building in the water is an asset to the photo and the lighting is giving a special effect to the colors. The photo has a splendid composition and wonderful colors.

Of all the cities in Portugal ... definitely this city I would love to visit one day.

Well, this blue hour is mystically beautiful with a soft translucent misty air , lingering the city.
It's so classic and vintage shot ... just like the famous wine I love drinking, the Port wine.
