The most prominent beach of the city of The Hague is
Scheveningen.It is a modern seaside resort with a long sandy beach, an esplanade, a pier, and a lighthouse.
The beach is popular for water sports such as windsurfing and kiteboarding.
Annual beach events include sand sculpture competition at Scheveningen.
This picture of a sand sculpture on the beach, facing the Kuur Haus, was an attraction to tourists and crowded at times making it difficult to photograph solo.
