Photographer's Note
***LARGE VERSION***
Just came back from my holidays. Almost a month since my last post. I apologize for my absence, but this time I really needed a rest and I decided to stay away from any computer screen for a while. I hope that each and everyone of you is OK, and that you had a great time in your summer holidays!
This is a nightview of Trabzon on the Black Sea coast. Photo taken from Boztepe hill. Some info about Trabzon from WIKIPEDIA:
"Trabzon (Greek: Τραπεζούντα, Trapezounta), historically known as Trapezus and Trebizond, is a city on the Black Sea coast of north-eastern Turkey and the capital of Trabzon Province. Trabzon, located on the historical Silk Road, became a melting pot of religions, languages and culture for centuries and a trade gateway to Iran in the southeast, Russia and the Caucasus to the northeast.[1] The Venetian and Genoese merchants paid visits to Trebizond during the medieval period and sold silk, linen and woolen fabric; with the latter having an important merchant colony within the city that was similar to Galata near Constantinople (across the Golden Horn) in present-day Istanbul.[2] Trabzon formed the basis of several states in its long history and was the capital city of the Empire of Trebizond between 1204 and 1461. During the Ottoman period, Trabzon, because of the importance of its port, became a focal point of trade to Iran, India and the Caucasus. The population of the city is 1,230,399 (2009 census).(***READ MORE***)"

hello Hercules,
many of your photos are like jewels and this is no exception. Trabzon looks like a jewel encrusted piece of jewellery nestling on a bed of midnight blue velvet.

Hey Iraklis,
welcome back....
love the mood the deep blue sky gives in this.
Another nice photo of your usual high standard.
Just out of interest, did you use a filter to get the star effect on the dock lights in the right of shot, or this was natural lens flare ?
Kind regards
Colin

Merhaba Giritli, the PoV is very well chosen and Trabzon looks like a golden necklace against the bluish darkness of the Black Sea from this vantage point. Congratulations and welcome back ! Tolga

Geia sou Hrakli,
A great blue hour. The cloudy sky is beautiful.
The large version is really fantastic.
You were right to stay one month without computer. I made the same thing in Sicily to appreciate completely this wonderful island.

Hola Hercules,
Josep

Hi Hercules,
I admire your whole collection from your third destination in Turkey. Perfect performance. I like the tiny cranes in the port which we can see well thanks to extraordinary sharpness. The dramatic clouds add a lot of atmosphere here.
Excellent POV to catch this spectacular panorama,
Have a good weekend,
M
