Photographer's Note

A grab shot taken from my coastal walk in Hammamet when a very intense clouds rolling towards the beach front. I simply couldn't resist the wonderful contrast of bursting afternoon sunlight filtering across the scene
and the fishing boats seemed ready to withstand the elements.....

Quite an enchanting scene to say the least with the ancient 8th century Ribat or Fortress in the backdrop..

Setting: 14 mm, 1/60 sec, F14, ISO Raw 200, 1555 hrs & GND filter

Hi Abmdsudi
The combination of dramatic light and vivid colours makes this scene irresistibly atmospheric. Fabulous use of 14mm to make the best use of the foreground. I could just look for ages at the details of the boat and nets. Then the second boat leads the eye towards the fortress.

Hello Abmdsudi,

A place for fisher boats without port only wait on high water.
In my country see we never this way for fisher boats.
A lovely detailed picture also soft colours

Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepi ribarski camci na obali i stara arhitektura u pozadini, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa oblacima koji dolaze i najvaljuju kisu.

Hello Abmdsudi, the sunlight shining on the beach and the boat in the foreground highlights the lovely colours and textures, before I look to the horizon and the darkening clouds.
Beautifully composed with the fortress providing further interest.

Always nice to see the colourful fishermen's boats, with all the nets inside. I like them better than the expensive yachts of rich men.

A great composition for these two boats, one seen partly in the foreground and the other one behind it. Their colours are wonderful. The beach and the fortress make a good backdrop.
