I've used the literal meaning of the word here. He's a boy and he's tending the cows. Not quite the traditional image of a man on horseback in the wild west.

Nice portrait of this Afghan cowboy! Good composition, sharpness and lighting. I love the expression of the boy!

Yesterday, I wrote a critic of your previous shot, but a tecnical failure didn´t let me add it. When I was going to rewrite it today, I found this one, which I prefer. Well done!

Great capture! You caught the perfect moment, with the hand and the stick above his head. Afghanistan is a place that I've always wanted to visit, even despite it's troubles. Thanks for posting your shots from this extraordinary place.
