A new religious complex was constructed to the north of the Katoghike Church. The new complex includes a much bigger church, named after Saint Anna, and a building designated to serve as the Yerevan residence of the Catholicos. On July 4, 2009, a ground blessing service was conducted by Catholicos Karekin II for the construction of Saint Anna Church and the associated complex. The ceremony was attended by President Serzh Sargsyan; President of the Constitutional Court, Gagik Harutyunian; Mayor of Yerevan, Gagik Beglarian; Members of the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin, Members of the Supreme Spiritual Council national and benefactors Hirair Hovnanian and his wife. The architect is Vahagn Movsisyan.

Finally, on 30 April 2015, the Saint Anna Church was consecrated by Catholicos Karekin II.

Czesc, Piotr, my neighbor today,
I have never been in Armenia but we also have Armenian church and I can recognize these special shapes of the dome. Perfect sharpness and very nice vivid colors. Did you visit Georgia too?

No własnie. Ta maleńka kapliczka tak omotana, że jej prawie nie widać. A już wczoraj zidentyfikowałam (z pewnym trudem), że to co pokazałeś to rezydencja katolikosa. Chyba to było jeszcze w budowie, kiedy tam byłam. Super kolory, byłby świetny kadr, gdyby nie te rusztowania.

Hello Piotr,
Even if the note to your last photo was not correct it remains a very good photo. This is good too, with the tarpaulins adding colours, but the composition is less refined. Good light and colours anyway.

Neaty picture with added colors with the renovations going on, Piotr.
We can see that both the two edifices had built with same red stones and archi.-style. A renovation project is a part of daily-life routine - so I am not concern with the covers added to the picture.

Always a pity when you find that a building of interest is scaffolded, but luckily the largest part was well visible here and you captured it really well in a fine light and from a good POV.

The poor scaffolding is most striking, this would not use in my country.
But this is not the mistake of the photographer, but of the contractor.
A nice architecture picture too.
Composition and presentation are superb.

Cela arrive trop souvent lorsque l'on veut visiter un endroit et qu'il est en rénovation. Il faut se dire qu'il sera beau encore longtemps parce que quelqu'un s'en occupe.

Czesc Piotr,
a to musialo cie pewnie troche zasmucic. Raz w zyciu jest sie w takim miejscu i akurat costam odnawiaja.
Wyjatkowe w swoim rodzaju miejsce. Ciesze sie ze sie nie poddales i jednak pokazujesz je nam tutaj. Ja tez chyba podziele sie kilkoma miejscami ktore po prostu bardzo mi sie podobaly ale mialy jakies felery fotograficzne typu ludzie weszli nie tak jak trzeba czy swiatlo bylo nie z tej strony. To po prostu fotografia podroznicza :)
Super ciekawe miejsce i widze ze sprowokowales nawet Malgorzate zeby wrocic do zdjec z Armenii :)
