Photographer's Note

Buddhist Monks are hard to miss in their brightly coloured saffron robes. They are also very much a part of the country's landscape.

This was a quick grab as the subjects were constantly moving away from focus. Perhaps, shooting someone's back is not ethical or polite to some conservative photographers and no doubt the purists will consider it has no great technical merit. But I was captivated with what I saw and very photogenic in my eyes as they add a bit of exotic & colour of the place.

From my late afternoon photo hunting spree in Sangkat Prey Thum village, Krong Kaeb.

Setting: 90 mm, 1/2000 sec, F2.8, ISO Raw 200, 1610 hrs

yes, nothing wrong with taking photos as people walk away from you, at least in my opinion anyways - its all in good taste and in the spirit of photography. I'm glad you were able to get the motorcycle in the shot on the left, that adds alot, even though its a small portion. lovely street shot and grab shot. cheers

Hello Abmdsudi,

I think I would prefer to see the faces of the monks but, as in this case, it is not always possible.
You certainly were guaranteed a good photograph colourwise, if you photographed the monks.
This is a fine, sharp exposure, using shallow dof and the monks act as the perfects guides!
