Photographer's Note

Another oldie and the view that it doesn't exist anymore.

Siem Reap is a popular resort town and a gateway to the Angkor region. In the city, there are museums, traditional Apsara dance performances, a Cambodian cultural village, souvenir and handicraft shops, silk farms, rice-paddies in the countryside, fishing villages and a vibrant, cosmopolitan drinking and dining scene.

Siem Reap today has a large number of hotels, resorts, restaurants and businesses closely related to tourism. The city has seen a massive increase in tourist exchange. By 2012, tourist numbers had reached over two million.

It is what I found in Wikipedia. I do not remember much of Siemreap. I think it was nothing there, probably a small hostel and we just went to Angkor form there. All the way from Thailand was unpaved, sometimes there were the funny bridges - just two boards for the wheels of the car.
