Photographer's Note

A shot taken at Tonlé Sap River hamlets of Phoum Kandal floating village all built on rickety DIY pontoons. A colourful vision to say the least with brightly painted wooden houses within the maze of watery streets. It's amazing to glimpse how village life functions when everything floats, they have all the amenities a mainland village would have - houses, schools, shops, vendors even petrol station.

Shes no doubt been getting around by boat all her life so doesnt even have to think about it, a natural rhythm flows organically.....

Setting: 95 mm, 1/1250 sec, F5.6, ISO 200, 1721 hrs & Polarised

sometime we cann't imagine other way of life, but as you said it it's natural for this young girl
we cann see on the houses paraboles so we have almost the same life!

I like the low viewpoint close to the water. It offers a nice view over the surface towards the houses and the boats as well as the people around it. Fine colours, too, especially in this wonderful sunlight.
