Ils vivent en apesanteur l'espace d'un instant.

Bonjour Bertrand,
La position de se garçon m'impressionne et me fait un peu mal au dos rien qu'ŕ le regarder!
A part ça, techniquement c'est parfaitement réalisé: le mouvement figé en pleine action, la lumičre, les couleurs et le cadrage.
As tu photographié la suite? ;-)

Bertrand,

I knew you'd have a zillion congratulations for this image -- it's stunning!

Just a few points that work perfectly: the position of the boy's body relative to the horizon, the large open space of water at the front, the boy's water-slicked skin, the boy's amazing form as he jumps, the reflections of light on his skin, the clarity and focus, and the feeling of speedy movement caught for one, brief, utterly still moment.

Finally, I don't think anyone has commented on the poetry, which I quite like, although I prefer the French version. One small thing: I think the second-last line could be better translated, perhaps something like: "All is unconcern and the lightness of being" or "Nothing but unconcern and lightness of being."

A really excellend shot, so I'll add my congratulations to all the others.

Bonjour Bertrand,

The timing is perfect, as everyone can see, and it makes the shot a lot of fun, as the energy is brought out even better by his wet body, shining under the afternoon sun.
I must say I am mixed between enjoying such a great moment caught, and finding the compo a bit tentative (maybe the idea behind every major crop we do), though not of your fault, there is not much besides him (For fun, to illustrate my point and not thinking it's better, I do a WS). For that reason, I prefer the first crop, which had the context of the deck, though he is a bit more distant in it .

I have a feeling, from you reposting it, this shot, as a compo, is still giving you thoughts how to best bring it.

BTW, If you had to send one only to a magazine, which one would it be?

Bonjour Bertrand,
Dédale avait recommandé ŕ son fils de ne pas s'approcher trop prčs du soleil ; mais Icare, dans son ivresse de pouvoir voler, s'éleva toujours plus haut dans les airs, tant et si bien que les rayons du soleil firent fondre la cire. Les ailes se détachčrent, et l'infortuné sombra dans la mer qui, depuis, porte son nom. Ici, c'est un vol éphémčre, mais sans risque.
Superbe prise de vue.

Hi Bertrand , You have captured a perfect timing to get this in the air, and under the later afternoon (or early morning) sunlight picture. The water on his skin has beautifully reflected the light. Good to have plenty of room ahead of him to predict his forwarding and dive into the water. I enjoy this picture very much. thanks for sharing.

Je préfčre cette façon de présenter la photo; le WS ne laisse pas assez de place je trouve pour l'enfant. Une façon trčs particuličre pour sauter dans l'eau, mais c'est bien ceci que donne bcp de valeur et dynamisme ŕ la photo. Trčs original, bien fait.

Je savais que l'homme etait capable de voler...j'aime bcp ces images qui nous donnent cette illusion. Etant donne qu'il n'y a pas de point de depat ou decollage, cela rend ce clichet encore plus....surrealiste....j'aime bcp.
